Accounting Specialist

Mia Burton is searching for an Accounting Specialist to help manage the accounting for our e-commerce company specializing in fashion eyewear.
We’re looking for a curious person who is passionate about numbers and their impact on people and business. They will work alongside our Accounting & Administration Manager in our Palermo office. What you'll be in charge of
- Monitoring receipts and books of prime entry
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Drafting of the correspondence register for sales, broken down by channel and geography
- What we consider essential
- Extensive knowledge of business administration
- Experience in general accounting and in the preparation and interpretation of financial statements
- Proficiency in the use of accounting and management software
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent organization, planning and deadline management skills
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, reliability and confidentiality
- Aptitude for developing and optimizing business processes
- Openness to sharing knowledge and useful information with team members
- An ability to manage uncertainty and to work in a quickly-moving environment
- Excellent knowledge of English.
What we’d love
- Prior e-commerce experience, even better if gained in an international, collaborative environment
- Knowledge of tax regulations, especially billing regulations
- Familiarity with communicating with the Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate).
