We are currently looking for an experienced Native English E-commerce Copywriter to join our team. You can choose to work at our headquarters in Palermo, Italy, or remotely (CET timezone).

You will always write in English, but fluent Italian is required for a smoother collaboration with the team. The recruiting process will be in Italian, too. This is a full-time position reporting to our Content Strategist.

Your responsibilities

You will be the voice of our brand. You will help define and keep a consistent tone in our communication channels, staying true to Mia Burton’s values.
You will have a key role in executing our communication strategy and building an impeccable experience for our customers.
You will be in charge of our social media plan, together with our content team.
You will write (and rewrite, and edit) tons of content, from short social captions and paid ads to long-form articles and newsletters.
You will perform SEO analyses and research trending topics to craft content that both people and search engines will love.
You will help with community management, strengthening our credibility and gaining insight into our clients’ pain points and needs.
You will monitor content performance through periodic reports.

Required skills

3+ years of copywriting experience
Native English proficiency and fluent Italian
Experience in creating different types of content, from persuasive, sales-oriented copy to social captions and magazine articles (with solid knowledge of SEO copywriting); you have a fashion-forward, engaging style
Flawless written English - we will never need to correct your grammar or punctuation; also, typos are your number one enemy
Ability to write empathically, tapping the needs and desires of your target audience and providing reassuring answers to their questions
Autonomy in your role; you produce in-brief content that follows the company’s Verbal Branding Guidelines
Ability to collect, report and use relevant data
Ability to execute tasks accurately and timely, also when working under tight deadlines
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills (outstanding team players only, please)
Creative problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to manage uncertainty and adapt to rapidly changing scenarios
Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace
Willingness to keep learning and growing.

These are a plus

Experience in eyewear, fashion or luxury brands
Spontaneity and confidence in front of a camera; would you like to be the face and/or voice of our socials?
French, German, Spanish or other languages
Experience with Semrush, SERP preview tools, Mailchimp, Figma and/or content management systems
Knowledge of UX writing techniques
Use of inclusive language
Interest in content usability and accessibility
Familiarity with Slack, Trello, and/or other collaboration/project management software
Basic HTML skills
